Berean Christian's Katie Murphy wins PrepXtra girls athlete of the week for Sept. 10 to Sept. 15

Berean Christian volleyball's Katie Murphy was voted PrepXtra girls player of the week for Sept. 10 to Sept. 15. The sophomore earned 43 percent of the vote.

Murphy had 30 kills in six sets on the week. She also made three blocks and two digs.

Northview Academy volleyball's Taylor Thick came in second with 26 percent of the vote. Thick had a strong serving game in the district win over Seymour. She had 3 aces with no errors on 17 total serves and made 14 assists.

Morristown East volleyball's Chloe Cole came in third with 17 percent of the vote. Cole had 20 kills and 19 digs in 2 district wins. She also had 71 kills with 8 blocks and 51 digs in seven matches due
