Briarcrest  visited MUS on Friday.

1. Lausanne (7-0): Lausanne took care of business against winless Northpoint Christian on Friday night, winning 49-13. Eric Gray turned in another strong performance with 179 yards and four touchdowns. The Lynx travel to University School of Jackson this week.

2. Germantown (8-0): Germantown was off last week and this week will host Central. A win would put the Red Devils at 9-0 heading into their end of the season showdown with Whitehaven. Germantown has won 19 regular-season games in a row. 

3. Horn Lake (8-0): For a while, it looked like Horn Lake was in trouble. The Eagles were down 17-7 at halftime at Oxford. But Horn Lake outscored the Chargers 21-0 in the second half. Next up is a home game against Hernando). 

4. MUS (7-0): MUS looked dominant in all three phases of the game in Friday night's 38-0 win over Briarcrest. The offense moved the ball without much trouble. The defense pitched a shutout. And Maurice Hampton returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown. The Owls next host Douglass.

5. Whitehaven (6-2): Whitehaven had a week off after beating Central 35-14 on the road. The Tigers will continue region play with a home game against White Station. The Tigers are now on a three-game win streak. 

6. Olive Branch (7-1): Olive Branch suffered its first loss of the season, 34-33, at home against West Point. Olive Branch's past two games have been decided by a total of 7 points. Will the Conquistadors return to their dominant form this week against Lake Cormorant? 

7. Christian Brothers (7-1): Christian Brothers routed region foe St. Benedict on) Friday night 42-7. Al Wooten carried the ball only seven times, but three of them were for touchdowns. The Purple Wave host Wooddale this week. 

8.  Kirby (7-1): Kirby had a bye week after beating rival Southwind. This week the Cougars will be at home against Munford. Kirby has not lost since Sept. 7

9. Houston (7-1): Houston hosts Collierville this week after a bye week. The Mustangs' last game was a 49-0 win over Oakhaven. Collierville is coming off a 35-10 win over St. George's.

10. Central (6-1): Central had a bye week after its 35-14 loss to Whitehaven that snapped its six-game winning streak. The Warriors have a chance this week to make a statement on the road against Germantown. Will they take advantage or will they fall flat?
