Some region titles were decided Friday night. Others won't be determined until the final week of the regular season.

However, the storyline of the night was in Lewisburg, when Brentwood High returned to the football field to play Marshall County for the first time since offensive lineman Lucas Davis died on Oct. 7.

Here are five takeaways from Week 10 of the regular season.

Brentwood pays tribute to Lucas Davis

The Brentwood community has been in morning since the death of Davis, a junior offensive lineman. On Friday, Brentwood played its first football game since his death, beating Marshall County 28-18.

Brentwood coach Ron Crawford had his team line up with 10 players for the first play of the game in honor of Davis. The Bruins were called for a delay of game, which Marshall County declined.

"Emotionally, it was good for our kids to get back and play football again," Crawford said.

Quarterback Cade Granzow was 17 of 25 passing for 178 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also ran for a touchdown.

Page wins first region title since 1999

Page needed overtime Friday night. But the wait was worth it.

Page won its first region championship since 1999 when Chase Tidmore booted a 22-yard field goal to give the Patriots a 17-14 win over Shelbyville to secure the Region 5-5A title.

"I'm so proud of our team," Page coach Charles Rathbone said. "They are buying into what we are doing."

Page last won a league championship in 1999 when the Patriots went 10-0 in the regular season and won the Region 5-3A title.

Cade Walker was 16-of-29 passing for 200 yards with a touchdown to lead Page. Grayson Tramel was 21-of-40 passing for 314 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Shelbyville.

Grace Christian needs OT for first win

Don't ask Grace Christian coach Rusty Smith how the Lions beat Mt. Pleasant 46-44 in overtime for their first win of the season.

The former Tennessee Titans quarterback still isn't sure. But he'll take it.

Down 10 points in the fourth quarter, GCA came back to send the game to overtime where Blake Barton scored on an option keeper. Teammate Gabe Buzek then scored what was the game winner when the Lions ran the same play the opposite direction and Barton pitched it.

"This was our last home game of the year and it was senior night," Smith said. "We needed that."

Barton finished 15-of-23 passing for 281 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 112 yards and scored twice.

Streak ends

White House Heritage had its 21-game losing streak end in a 15-14 win over East Robertson on Thursday. The win was the first for first-year coach Stetson Dickerson.

"We're enjoying (the win)," Dickerson said. "There is nothing like winning a high school football game. We had kids that are seniors that were in the program for the second year. They had never won a high school football game."

Shutout streak continues

Cornersville extended its shutout streak to eight games with a 41-0 rout of Huntland to lock up the Region 5-1A championship.

Cornersville has outscored its past eight opponents 394-0.
