Dylan Hopkins was a star quarterback at Maryville High School, before moving on to his college playing career at UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham).

This Saturday, UAB's football program is honoring local children who are battling cancer.

Each player will wear a jersey with the name of a cancer patient or survivor.

Hopkins will wear the name of Auburn Grace Thomas.

Auburn Grace was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer as a baby. She has since overcome it.
