Creek Wood managed to get a 14-6 win over Portland, while Dickson County had a 6-3 loss to Lawrence County.

Here are three takeaways from Week 10.

Dickson County on a five-game losing streak

With a 6-3 loss to Lawrence County on Friday, Dickson County dropped its fifth consecutive game, and slipped to 3-6.

Gage Pontremoli was 9 of 18 passing for 91 yards. He also threw an interception. Darian Burns had 55 rushing yards on 13 carries. Drequan Vaughn finished with 26 rushing yards on six carries.

Dickson County hosts Franklin next week to conclude the regular season, a team it hasn't defeated since 2003.

Low scoring affair

Dickson County dropped to 0-4 in Region 6-6A on Friday. The Cougars gave up 213 total yards of offense, including 191 passing yards and 22 rushing yards.

The Cougars were only able to get 179 total yards of offense, including 91 passing yards and 88 rushing yards. Dickson also had 11 penalties, which cost them 118 yards.

Lawrence County earned its first win of the season after beating Dickson County.

Creek Wood defeats Portland

With Creek Wood's 14-6 win over Portland, the Red Hawks have now won four straight games and improved to 7-2 on the season.

Creek Wood has not lost a game since Week 5 against Montgomery Central. The Cougars have been on the right track since their Week 6 bye.

The Red Hawks travel to play Springfield next week in the regular season finale. Springfield is also 7-2, including an undefeated record in region play at 5-0.
