Area standouts named to all-region football teams

Area schools were well represented in the All-Region 3-6A football team.

Class 6A state champion Oakland six eight superlatives on the team, which was announced after the Patriots' BlueCross Bowl win over Whitehaven.

Following is the All-Region 3-6A teams:

Eagleville standouts earn all-region

Eagleville's Ethan Cobb was named Region 5-2A Most Valuable Player while Avery Sparks was named the region's Most Valuable Wide Receiver.

Eagle players who were named all-region included Logan Moore, Kwon Park, Tyler Reid, Trevor Griffin, Wyatt McLemore and Jonathan Vermillion and honorable mentions Bryce Lane, Damien Stingley, Isaac Gleaves and Mason Lewis.
