Central Magnet's Fuji Anday competes in the 2018 Region 4 Large meet. Anday won the meet and finished in the top 10 at the state.

Central Magnet junior Fuji Anday was a finalist for the all-area cross country runner of the year award in 2017.

After capturing the Region 4 Large meet title and having the top area time at the TSSAA Large School state meet, Anday tops the Daily News Journal's all-area boys team for 2018.

Anday was one of only two area runners to medal at the state meet, finishing eighth (16:04.81). His effort helped the Tigers finish third in the state overall.

That came after he led the Tigers to a second-place team finish in the region meet with a first-place finish (16:06.98).
