Jerry Graham, Greeneville's boys soccer coach, will also coach the girls soccer team, the school announced Friday.

"I feel privileged to have this opportunity to work with such a talented and committed group of athletes," Graham said in a statement. "I look forward to the challenge of continuing the tradition of excellence that has become Lady Devils Soccer."

Graham, who has led the Greene Devils to two straight Class AA state championships, replaces John Eiskamp, who retired as the Lady Greene Devils coach in January after 18 seasons and led the girls to two state championships. Graham has been the boys soccer coach since 2009.

"GHS is excited to have Jerry Graham take over as head women's soccer coach," Greeneville athletic director Brad Woolsey said in a statement. "Coach Graham has great qualifications and a great record of accomplishment both on and off the pitch."

Graham has led the Greene Devils to back-to-back state championships. Greeneville beat Page, 2-1, in the Class A/AA state championship in 2017 and, last season, Greeneville defeated Loudon 3-0 in the Class AA state championship.

The Lady Greene Devils haven't won a state championship since 2016, when Greeneville beat CPA, 2-1, in Class A/AA state. The Lady Greene Devils lost to Beech, the state champions, in the Class AA semifinals in October.

"We have the utmost confidence that Coach Graham is ready, willing and able to assume this added responsibility," Greeneville Principal Patrick Fraley said, "and keep moving the Lady Greene Devils forward toward continued success."
