MRI results revealed Bryn Tucker suffered an MCL sprain in his left knee and will not require surgery, his father, Mike Tucker confirmed.

Tucker, a Clemson commitment, had the MRI on Monday night and will rest and then have four to six weeks of rehabilitation. He's wearing a brace on his knee.

He and his father said he will be ready for Catholic's first game Aug. 23 against Chuckey-Doak. This is Catholic's first season in Division II-AAA.

Tucker, the No. 8 recruit in Tennessee in the Class of 2020, according to 247Sports composite, said he was "blessed" when he learned of the news Wednesday morning and that his "prayers were answered."

He said he has a follow-up appointment in two weeks and then will begin the rehabilitation process.

Tucker injured his knee in a scrimmage against Oakland on Friday. He said his knee was "rolled up on" on a trap play. He did not play the rest of the scrimmage.
