After accomplishing a record setting season with the most wins in the schools soccer history, the University High Junior Bucs had several players recognized by being named to the TSSAA, Class A, District 1, Region 1, All-Conference and All-Region Teams. 

Selected to the Class A, District 1 All-Conference Second Team were junior Will Owen, sophomore Pate Anglin and Patrick Willard and freshman Nelson Owen. 

Leading the way for the Junior Bucs by being selected to his 4th consecutive All-Conference First Team was senior forward Walker Page.   On the season Page netted 13 goals and was among the Class A leaders in the state for assists on the season with 18. 

Page scored over 50 goals and produced over 50 assists in his four-year career. Over the last four seasons Page was involved with almost 40% of UH’s entire scoring offensive during his career with either an assist or goal. 

Joining Page on the first team were fellow seniors forward Malachi Heath and defender Austin Baines. Along with the three seniors on the first team were sophomores Bracken Burns and Moses Rathbun. 

Rathbun was named Conference Player of the Year while Heath was named Offensive Player of the Year. Heath and Rathbun tallied over 40 goals on the season with Page assisting on many of those goals. Burns was selected co-Defensive Player of the Year for the conference as the team produced 8 clean sheets on the season. 

With a record of 14-5 overall on the season, the Junior Bucs were undefeated in conference play during the regular season, outscoring their league opponents 33-4 while earning there first regular season championship since 2013. The Bucs averaged 4.3 goals scored per game on the season. 

University High saw its season end in regional play in overtime to state bound and defending state champions Gatlinburg-Pittman. Team Captains Burns, Heath and Page were also honored by being selected to the TSSAA Class A, Region 1 All-Region First Team. It was the second straight year for the three to be selected to the All-Region team. 

University High is the 14th smallest school in the state of Tennessee to field a soccer team based on TSSAA enrollment numbers and is ranked as the 9th best high school in Tennessee in U.S. News and World Report magazine latest annual rankings.
