Why chosen: Avery was the Division I private school league offensive player of the year. He had 49 goals and 32 assists for the state champion Big Red and was named The Tennessean player of the year for the second straight year.

Why chosen: Brien had 34 ground balls and 14 takeaways for the Big Red.

John Flynn

Ravenwood, Sr.

Position: Defender

Why chosen: Flynn had 54 ground balls, 18 takeaways and eight interceptions to help the Raptors win the Division I public school state championship. He was the Division I public school defensive player of the year.

Matt Martin

Brentwood, Sr.

Position: Middie

Why chosen: Martin scored 19 goals and had 121 ground balls. He was nearly 75 percent on faceoffs.

Noah Mendoza

MBA, Jr.

Position: Defender

Why chosen: Mendoza had 41 ground balls and 17 takeaways for the Division I private school state champions, which gave up seven goals a game.
