Top 10 Nashville area high school football special teams players returning in 2019

With high school football teams taking part in summer workouts, here is a look at the top 10 Nashville area special teams players — kickers, punters and long snappers returning in 2019.

Luke Akers, Ravenwood, Sr. Akers, the son of former NFL kicker David Akers, is ranked as the No. 9 kicker and No. 10 punter in the country for the Class of 2020 by Kohl's. He averaged 39.3 yards per punt. He was 4-of-6 on field goals with a long of 46.

Stephen Bowden, Independence, Sr. Bowden is ranked as the No. 9 long snapper by Kohl's for the Class of 2020.

Johnny Crouch, Centennial, Sr. Crouch is ranked as the No. 21 punter in the country for the Class of 2020 by Kohl's.

Trace Kelley, Gallatin, Sr. Kelley was the Region 6-5A special teams MVP in 2018.

Tabor Miller, Brentwood, Sr. Miller is a punter and kicker for the Bruins. He was Region 6-6A punter of the year in 2018. He is ranked as the No. 44 punter and No. 57 kicker in the country for the Class of 2020 by Kohl's.

Jack Norris, FRA, Jr. Norris was a Division II-AA all-state punter and the Middle Region co-kicker of the year. He averaged 35.6 yards a punt and was 7-of-11 with a long of 47 on field goals.

Jack Sauder, BGA, Sr. Sauder scored 39 points and was 2-of-4 on field goals with a long of 42 in 2018. He was also the Division II-AA Middle Region co-kicker of the year.

Wesley Schelling, Pearl-Cohn, Sr. The Vanderbilt commitment is the No. 4 long snapper in the country for the Class of 2020 according to the 247Sports Composite. He is ranked No. 5 by Kohl's.

Chase Tidmore, Page, Sr. Tidmore was 45-of-45 on PATs and hit 10 of 12 field goals and was a TSWA All-State kicker in Class 5A.

Skylar Wilson, Fairview, Sr. Wilson ranked as the No. 49 kicker in the country for the Class of 2020 by Kohl's. He was the Region 6-3A kicker of the year in 2018. He hit 49-of-51 PATs and had 25 touchbacks.
