More than a dozen boys high school soccer players from the Williamson County area were named Tennessee High School Soccer Coaches Association All-State members, the THSSCA announced last week.
Grace Christian Academy, which won the school’s first state championship in late May, landed four players on the Class A All-State team to lead county teams. Sophomore Sam Barrionuevo was joined by freshmen Malachi Jones, Alex Johnson and Shewit Worton as All-State players.

The loaded Lions return the bulk of their roster and will transition to Division II next season, joining Christ Presbyterian Academy and Battle Ground Academy, among others in a loaded regional in the area. CPA, which fell in the DII-A championship game, had three players named All-State in seniors Brown Myers, Baker Avinger and Harrison Rody. The Wildcats, who reached the state semifinals, had two representatives in seniors Charlie Jewell and Robby Lape.
In Class AA, Fairview juniors Brandon Parrish, Ethan Shelley and Nate Phillips were all recognized after leading the Yellow Jackets to the state semifinals for a second season in a row.
In Class AAA, Brentwood seniors Blake Chalfant, Sam Khomtchenko and Jake Severino were also named All-State after guiding the Bruins to the state semifinals as well. Independence senior Hunter Bossman joined the trio of Brentwood standouts.
