Hixson played host to and won its own volleyball invitational on Saturday. The Lady Wildcats defeated the Chattanooga Patriots, Berean, and Sequatchie County before up-ending Upperman in the in the semi-finals.
Hixson then blanked Boyd-Buchanan in the championship match.
Boyd-Buchanan won four matches in bracket play in the 2019 Hixson Invitational Volleyball tournament on Saturday before falling to host Hixson in the Gold championship final.
The Lady Bucs bested Lookout Valley, Central, Upperman and Sequatchie County in straight sets before succumbing to the Lady Wildcats, 2-0.
