Happy Valley was unable to keep the winning streak alive on Friday night.

The Warriors dropped a 35-0 decision at Unicoi County in nonconference action. It was Happy Valley’s first loss of the season.


HV got into scoring position early with an interception, but was unable to punch the ball into the endzone, and the homesteading Blue Devils broke onto the board in the second quarter with a pair of touchdowns from Kody Lewis to take a 14-0 lead into the locker room at the half.

Happy Valley continued to battle in the second half, but the Warriors were unable to get anything going offensively. For the game, the Warriors were limited to 66 yards of total offense in the game.

Will Tittle finished with 20 yards on five carries. Eli Ayers was 4-of-10 passing for HV

Lewis finished with 172 yards on 18 carries, while Diego Diaz had three touchdowns on 21 carries for 169 yards.

HV hits the road again next week with a trip to Cosby.
