The Franklin County High School boys golf team competed in an 18-hole match Monday against the teams of Coffee County Central and Lincoln County at the WillowBrook Golf Club in Manchester.
The Rebels easily outscored their district opponents as they had the lowest individual scorer and won in the team standings by 26 strokes.
The lowest scorer from Franklin County’s side was Jack Curtis with a 5-over 77 for the day.
Nathan Calahan finished second as an individual with an 84 to help the cause for the Rebels.
The next scorer for the Rebels was Hayden Curl with a 90 for the match, and Caleb Maybrey rounded out the scoring with a 94.
This put the team total for the Rebels at 345 strokes which was more than enough to outpace their opponents.
The Coffee County Central Red Raiders finished second in the match with a team score of 371. The lowest score for the Red Raiders came from Logan Hale and Chris Robinson with both golfers scoring an 89.
Finishing well behind both other teams were the Lincoln County Falcons with a team total of 432 strokes for the match.
The top Falcon for the day was Clay Gentry with a 99.
The Rebels will next be in action on Monday for a multi-team match at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
