Howard High School had one of the best Senior Nights imaginable as senior Desiree Bautista scored six goals in their 7-1 win over rival Red Bank.

Howard’s Bautista scored the first goal after she picked up the ball on the right side, chopped the ball around a defender and unleashed a right footed shot which flew over the Red Bank goal keeper.

The Lions would pull a goal back through speedy junior playmaker Alexis Adams. The Howard defense made the mistake of giving her space and Adams punished them with a quick burst of pace and shot into the bottom right corner to tie the game.

The Lady Tigers would retake the lead later in the first half through Bautista. She cut through a couple of defenders and released a powerful left footed shot that the keeper could not stop.

Bautista completed the first of her two hat tricks in the second half as she waltzed into the Lion’s box and scored at the near post. Less than two minutes later she curled a beautiful shot into the top corner to score her fourth goal.

The Howard defense sent a long ball forward and Bautista was there again. She carried the ball 20 or so yards before cutting back onto her right foot and calmly finding the back of the net.

The Lady Tigers were awarded a free kick in a dangerous area just outside of the 18-yard box. Sophomore Priscilla Bautista Raymundo showed her quality and scored off of her lovely shot over the wall.

Howard would create another breakaway opportunity and Bautista was at the end of it to score one-on-one chance to complete her double hat trick.

“She is a next level player,” Howard Head Coach Bjorn Croxall said. “When she is mentally in the game, she is absolutely a phenomenal player and today she was in it.”

Coach Croxall was extremely proud of how far his team has come this season.

“Our girls go through so much life outside of school and soccer. For them to be able to come out here and work their tails off and have good attitudes; I’m just really proud of them,” said Coach Croxall.

Howard will play their final regular season home game on Tuesday as they host Chattanooga Central at 5:30 p.m.

Red Bank will play at Sale Creek on Monday at 6 p.m.
