The boys and girls cross country teams of Franklin County High School competed in a meet at the Winchester City Park on Monday with the boys picking up a team victory.
The Rebels picked up four top-10 spots for the day with the Rebelettes placing three runners in the top 10.
Aydan Yates had the top time for the Rebels and finished first overall with a time of 18:26.
Zac Green completed the course in exactly 20 minutes to finish fifth.
Jayden Taylor finished seventh with a time of 20:26 while Braden Collins placed 10th with a time of 21:03.
Ethan Moore was able to finish 17th overall with a time of 22:25.
The remaining runners for the Rebels and their times and placements were Derek Burge, 34th, 25:05; Christian Farrell, 39th, 25:32; Caleb Cashion, 42nd, 26:17 and Blake Broadbent, 51st, 27:40.
On the girls side, the Rebelettes swept the top three as they dominated the field as a whole.
Kara McDaniel came in first with a mark of 21:57 for the meet.
She was followed by Erin Worthington in second place with a time of 23:29.
Nora Daugherty rounded out the top three by placing third with a mark of 24:27.
The only other runner in action for the Rebelettes was Alyssa Worthington and she placed 12th with a time of 28:30.
The Rebels and Rebelettes will next be in action on Friday in the Mountain Lion Invitational at St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
