The Battle Ground Academy volleyball team advanced to the Division II-A Middle Region Tournament semifinals with a tough three-set win over Davidson Academy Tuesday in Franklin.
The Lady Wildcats claimed a wild 35-33 win in the opening set and took the next two 25-20, 25-18. Top-seeded BGA will face No. 2 Nashville Christian School Thursday at Goodpasture.
NCS defeated Middle Tennessee Christian School 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 in a region quarterfinal Tuesday.
Hana Robertson tallied eight kills and both Abby Robertson and Ally Newkirk added seven kills apiece for the Lady Wildcats against Davidson Academy. Newkirk also finished with 16 assists in the contest and Izzy Northham collected 27 digs to lead the defense.

In other region play, Goodpasture defeated fourth-seeded Grace Christian Academy 25-22, 25-21, 25-17 to advance. Goodpasture will face Franklin Road Academy in the other regional semifinal after taking down Donelson Christian Academy in five sets, including a 19-17 win in the fifth.
In other Williamson County volleyball action, Nolensville clinched the District 9-AA championship for a third consecutive season with 25-21, 25-14, 23-25, 25-17 win over Lawrence County.
Nolensville will host the region tournament next week.
At Fairview, the Lady Yellow Jackets advanced to the District 12-AA championship with a five-set win over Camden Tuesday.
