Nominate now for the high school sports Top Team: Fan Vote award for the Tennessean Sports Awards

The Tennessean wants to honor your favorite high school sports team. Nominate it now for the Top Team: Fan Vote Award to be honored on May 29 at the fifth annual Tennessean Sports Awards presented by Farm Bureau Health Plans.

The team must be from the 2019-20 school year to be eligible. 

It may be a team that won a state championship this year. Perhaps the team finally beat a cross-town rival or made a deep run in the playoffs. Or maybe it is a team that simply overcame a large obstacle — on or off the field. 

The Tennessean invites you to nominate them at https://tennessean.secondstreetapp.com/Top-Team-Fan-Vote-Award-2020/gallery.

The nomination period lasts until April 14. On April 15 at 11 a.m., fans will be able to start voting for their favorite team.

All members of the nominated teams are invited to RSVP for two complimentary tickets — one for themselves and one for a guest — to this year's sports awards event.

The winning team will be announced at the show and called to the stage to receive a trophy.

Last year's Top Team: Fan Vote Award winner was Columbia Academy's boys basketball team, which won the TSSAA Class A state championship in 2019.
