The McCallie Blue Tornado basketball team won it's second game with CCS Friday night, beating the Chargers 59-53 at CCS.
Eric Rivers finished with 19 points and John Hardy had 14.
CCS closed the lead to three in the fourth quarter but McCallie hit 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to hold on to the lead. Rivers hit all eight of his free throws for the night. Twelve of McCallie's 20 fourth quarter points came from the free throw line. McCallie finished the game 19 of 22.
CCS senior Michael Houge led all scorers with 28 points. Fellow senior Grant Van Meter had 11.
Houge was 11 of 16 from the free throw line.
Both CCS and McCallie finish out the region schedule next week with games against Baylor and Knox Catholic.
