The Soddy Daisy Trojans (4-2) lacrosse team completed a 3-game sweep of divisional rivals this weekend by an average winning margin of 11 goals per game.
In Friday night's game, the Trojans defeated visiting Sullivan County by a score of 16-5. Senior attackman Ethan Hyde led all scores with 6 goals and 3 assists. Fellow senior Robert Holekamp collected 12 ground balls. Sophomores Kennedy Moore and Paul Schofield scored 4 and 3 goals, respectively.
In the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, Soddy Daisy prevailed over Roane County 14-1. Ethan Hyde again led all scorers with 5 goals. The defensive line consisting of Grayson Paschal, Levi Stapleton, Brandon Hale, and Ryan Beihoffer were diligent in keeping the Knights' offense at bay.
In the second game of the day, the Trojans dominated Blount County by a score of 14-3. Ethan Hyde and Robert Holekamp both scored 4 goals apiece. Sophomore attackman Paul Schofield scored 3 goals. Soddy Daisy will be back in action next Wednesday at McCallie High School.
