Grace Hogue, a seven year diving athlete and graduating senior at Signal Mountain High School, has signed scholarship papers to continue her education and diving career at American University in Washington, D.C.

Hogue has competed and placed in the top 10 for the past three years at the Tennessee State Diving Championships. Her coach, Phil Lesselroth of McCallie, has been big part of her commitment to the sport and he has coached her from her very first steps off the board.

She holds the six-dive record score for Signal Mountain. According to Hogue, "I am so thankful to be attending a school like American. It exceeded my initial expectations academically and athletically, which allowed me to make my college decision fairly simple."

The head diving coach from American University, John Barry, has expressed, "I'm very excited to bring Grace from the Signal Mountain Eagles to American University. We are so happy to add Grace to our Eagles Diving Team roster, and we look forward to her awesome academics and enthusiastic diving this fall!"

Hogue  will be studying Political Science at American University in Washington, DC and diving competitively in the Division 1, Patriot League.
