Here's a look at the top games for Week 6 involving Knoxville area high school football teams.

Game of the week

Farragut (3-1) at Maryville (4-0)

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday.

Farragut honored coach Eddie Courtney in its win over Morristown West last week. Courntey was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had surgery to remove the tumor Sept. 16. He missed the game, but fans wore light blue — the official color of prostate cancer awareness. It's unclear if Courtney will coach against Maryville. If he doesn't, his son and the team's offensive coordinator, Geoff Courtney will serve as the interim coach. Maryville posted its first shutout of the season last week, and Parker McGill has rushed for 527 yards and seven touchdowns.

Torres' prediction: Maryville 31, Farragut 17

Carter (4-1, 2-0 2-5A) at South-Doyle (4-1, 2-0)

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday.

South-Doyle scored a season-high 60 points in its win over Sevier County last week, and Shawn Gary rushed for 204 yards and four touchdowns. South-Doyle's defense has yet to allow more than 21 points in a game. Carter's game was canceled last week by Halls due to a high number of players in quarantine and isolation. Carter beat Lenoir City 48-28 in Week 4 and has already surpassed its win total from 2019 in coach Justin Pressley's first season.

Torres' prediction: South-Doyle 26, Carter 20

Gibbs (2-3) at Rhea County (4-0)

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday.

Gibbs lost to Campbell County last week but still scored at least 31 points for the second straight game. Bryson Palmer passed for 253 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown. Rhea County has scored at least 41 points in two of its last three games.

Torres' prediction: Rhea County 30, Gibbs 18

Knoxville Webb (2-2, 1-0 DII-AA) at Notre Dame (2-2, 0-2)

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday.

Webb had a bye last week and has scored at least 45 points in both wins. The Spartans have averaged 3.5 points in their losses. Notre Dame has lost two straight games, including a 49-27 defeat to Grace Christian last week.

Torres' prediction: Knoxville Webb 38, Notre Dame 24

Morristown West (3-1) at Morristown East (1-2)

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday.

This game was originally scheduled for Week 1, but Hamblen County Schools delayed sports until Sept. 4. Morristown West has surpassed its win total from 2019, when the Trojans finished 1-9. Morristown East has lost two straight games and hasn't beaten Morristown West since 2013.

Torres' prediction: Morristown West 26, Morristown East 13

McMinn County (4-0) at Bearden (0-3)

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday.

McMinn County has scored at least 55 points in three straight games, including a season-high 63 in its win over William Blount last week. Bearden has started 0-3 for the second straight season and lost to McMinn County 37-13 in 2019.

Torres' prediction: McMinn County 32, Bearden 26

Karns (0-4, 0-3 3-5A) at Campbell County (3-2, 0-1)

When: 7 p.m., Thursday.

After losing two straight games, Campbell County has won two straight, with CJ Allen combining for 416 rushing yards and six touchdowns in the wins. Karns is averaging fewer than 10 points.

Torres' prediction: Campbell County 30, Karns 15

Catholic (1-2) at Science Hill (4-1)

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday.

Catholic's Tommy Winton, who has an offer from Tennessee, returned last week after battling a hamstring injury and caught five passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in a loss to McCallie. Science Hill is averaging more than 34 points, but it lost to Catholic 48-17 in 2019.

Torres' prediction: Catholic 38, Science Hill 28
