The Franklin County soccer Rebelettes lost to the Central Magnet Lady Tigers 2-1 at home Tuesday for their third loss of the season.
The Rebelettes took the lead with a goal late in the first half, but the Lady Tigers scored twice in the second half to end a six-game unbeaten streak for Franklin County.
The Rebelettes got their lone goal with five minutes to play in the first half when they were awarded a penalty kick due to a hand ball in the box. Ella Masters nailed the kick for her 12th goal of the season.
The Rebelettes led 1-0 at halftime.
The lead would not last for long, however, as the Lady Tigers tied the score with a goal just over two minutes into the second half.
The score remained tied for the next 30 minutes with neither team able to find a go-ahead score. The Lady Tigers would break the stalemate with seven minutes to play to put the Rebelettes behind for good.
With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 6-3-2 on the season.
They will next play Thursday at Coffee County Central High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
