Lady Rebels Rout Gibson County, 9-0

McKENZIE (October 1) — The McKenzie High School girls soccer team hosted Gibson County Thursday for a district match and ran away with a 9-0 win. The Lady Rebels ended the game about seven minutes into the second half via the mercy rule. Allie Chappell scored three goals and had two assists. Savanah Hill scored a pair of goals and had one assist. Aird and Savannah Nesbitt each had one goal and one assist. Jessica Moore and Sydney Fornera each scored a goal. Goalkeeper Gracie Dillingham recorded her seventh shutout of the season without having to make a single save. McKenzie (8-2, 2-0) wraps the regular season Thursday as they host Westview for a district contest at 5 p.m.
