The Franklin County Rebelettes beat the Columbia Central Lady Lions 6-0 at home Thursday in a semifinal game for their district tournament.
The Rebelettes scored early and often as they blew out Columbia to advance to the district finals for the second year in a row.
Gracie Morse gave the Rebelettes an early lead as she scored three minutes into the contest to make it 1-0.
Morse added two more goals later in the half to complete the hat trick and give Franklin County a 3-0 lead with 14 minutes remaining in the first half. Morse now has 10 goals this season for the Rebelettes.
The Rebelettes tacked on one more goal before the end of the half as Kara McDaniel scored with 38 seconds left in the period for her eighth goal of the season.
They led 4-0 at halftime.
The Rebelettes continued their offensive momentum in the second half as Chyenna Luttrell scored just three minutes after the halftime break to make it a 5-0 game. The goal was her fourth of the campaign.
The final score of the day came with about 31 minutes remaining as Mariah Shull netted her second goal of the season to put the final lead at six.
With the win, the Rebelettes improved to 11-3-2 on the season.
They will next play Saturday at home against Shelbyville Central High School in the championship game for their district tournament. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
