McKenzie Dominant in Sweep at Dresden

DRESDEN (November 24) — McKenzie’s teams earned a pair of big wins Tuesday at Dresden High School. The Lady Rebels held the Lady Lions to single digits in three of the four quarters for a 61-35 victory. The Rebels pulled away in the early minutes and coasted to a 75-42 win.

The Lady Rebels had an 11-4 lead after the opening frame, led by Lilly Bennett with five points, including a three-pointer. Dani Dyer scored four, and Savannah Davis had a pair. Lady Lions Paisley Pittman and Bella Bone each had a pair.
McKenzie had a 16-9 advantage in the second quarter, led by Davis with six points. Kylie Reynolds and Anna Callahan each scored three, and Dyer and Bennett each added a pair. Maggie Oliver led Dresden with five points. Lucy Curry scored three, and Bone hit a free throw. At the half, McKenzie led 27-13.
The Lady Rebels had an 18-14 edge in the third, led by K. Reynolds and Bennett with five points each, Reynolds with a three. Dyer scored four, and Davis and MiKaela Reynolds each had a pair. Curry and Bone each scored five for the Lady Lions, Curry with a three-pointer. Pittman scored four. Entering the final frame, the Lady Rebels led 45-27.
McKenzie doubled up Dresden 16-8 in the fourth, led by Bennett with eight points. M. Reynolds scored three, K. Reynolds and Savannah Nesbitt each had a pair, and Katie Chesser hit a free throw. Pittman led the Lady Lions with three points. Kailee Graves and Keely Mathis each had a pair, and Oliver hit a freebie.
Lady Rebel Lilly Bennett led all scorers with 20 points, including a three-pointer. Kylie Reynolds, Dani Dyer and Savannah Davis each scored ten, Reynolds with a three.

Paisley Pittman led Dresden with nine points.
Rebels 75, Lions 42
McKenzie stormed out to a 23-6 lead after the first frame, led by Johnathan Moore with a dozen points on four three-pointers. Bryson Steele scored eight, and Marquez Taylor hit a three. Lions Zach Crawford, Steven Hobock and Trey Adams each had a pair.
The Rebels extended the lead with a 19-9 advantage in the second quarter, led by Zayden McCaslin with ten points. Taylor scored four points with a three, Eli Surber hit a three, and Steele added a pair. Adams led Dresden with four points, Hobock hit a three, and Raymond Johnson had a pair. At the half, the Rebels led 42-15.
McKenzie outscored the Lions 22-10 in the third, led by Moore with six points on a pair of threes. Caleb Gill scored five with a three. Surber and Elijah Seivers each hit a three. Taylor also scored three points, and McCaslin added a pair. Porter Finney led Dresden with six points. Crawford and Adams each added a pair. Heading into the final frame, the Rebels led 64-25.
The Lions cut the final gap with a 17-11 tilt in the fourth, led by Hobock with ten points, including a pair of three-pointers. Adams scored five, and Johnson added a pair. Rebel Zach Aird hit a three, and Moore, Bryant Haynes, Etijay Tharpe and Christopher Beck each had a pair.
Rebel Johnathan Moore led all scorers with 20 points, including six three-pointers. Zayden McCaslin scored a dozen.
Steven Hobock led Dresden with 15 points, including a trio of threes. Trey Adams scored 13.
