Friday Round-up: Rangers roll to win; Cyclones move past HV

The Rangers used a strong first-half to take a nonconference win on Friday night.

Unaka jumped out to a 13-5 advantage in the first eight minutes and then pushed the advantage to 27-15 at the break.

Rockwood cut into the lead in the third quarter. However, Unaka kept the Tigers at bay in the final stanza.

Will Sexton had 16 points, while Devin Ramsey had 12 points. Joe Blamo and Jonathan Campbell had seven points each.

Elizabethton 56, Happy Valley 41 (boys)
The Cyclones took care of business in a Three Rivers matinee.
Elizabethton jumped out to a quick lead, and then slowly pulled away against the Warriors.

William Willocks had 17 points to pace Elizabethton. Nate Wilson had 16 points, while Jake Roberts added nine points.

Alex Lunceford had 17 points to pace the Warriors, while Andrew Clawson and Blake Young had seven points apiece. Ladon Babb added six points to the Happy Valley cause.
