CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Two Eagle pitchers combined for a no-hitter Thursday at Kenwood, as Northeast baseball earned a 14-0 win in five innings.

Cameron Hall tossed three innings, striking out four hitters to pick up the win. Caleb Perras closed out the last two innings for the Eagles.

Tyler Webb, Evan Primasing, Jaxon Mixon and Braxton Barnes all finished 2-for-3 at the dish for the Eagles. Primasing drove in a game-high five runs.

Northeast (4-10) welcomes in Kenwood Friday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m., hoping to capture the regular-season series over their District 10-AAA foe.

Wildcats run away late for double-digit win

Clarksville High baseball opened up the flood gates in the later innings Thursday against Springfield, pushing across 12 runs in the final three frames to defeat the Yellowjackets 15-4.

Trailing 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning, the Wildcats took advantage of some wild pitching and defensive miscues from Springfield to regain the lead for good.

Kyle Magrans earned the win, completing five innings while allowing four runs on two hits and striking out three batters.

Grant Donkin was dealt the loss for Springfield.

Magrans went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and drove in two runs while Cade Ross had a 1-for-2 day at the plate with two walks and a game-high four RBIs.

Clarksville (14-2) will look to complete the regular-season sweep of Springfield Friday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. in a District 10-AAA contest.

Hawks tame Coyotes in offensive outburst

Rossview got off to a fast start Thursday at home against West Creek en route to a 17-2 victory over the Coyotes in five innings.

The Hawks pushed across five runs in the bottom of the first inning to jump out to an early 5-1 lead.

Dylan Brown went the distance on the mound, giving up just one earned run on five hits while striking out eight batters in the win.

Braden Canaan took the loss for the Coyotes.

Josh Sanchez-Harris finished 3-for-4 with a double, home run and four runs scored. Andrew Stewart had a 2-for-3 day with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Jackson Cook went 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI while Xaven Fowler drove in the second Coyote run of the game.

The two teams face off again Friday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. when Rossview (10-9) travels to West Creek (4-6).

Cougars take care of War Eagles in late innings

Clarksville Academy baseball overcame an early deficit Thursday to run away late with a 10-3 win on the road against Sycamore.

Sam Walker pitched five innings, allowing three runs on nine hits while striking out five hitters to pick up the win.

Cade Cocke threw two scoreless frames in relief, scattering one hit and recording two punchouts.

DJ Merriweather went 1-for-2 with two walks, three runs scored and two RBIs while Cooper Wallace had a 2-for-3 effort at the plate with a double and two runs scored for the Cougars.

John Hale and Thomas Murray led the War Eagles with three hits each.

Clarksville Academy (7-6) travels to Harpeth Saturday, April 10, for an 11 a.m. contest.

Northwest falls to Harpeth on the road

A five-run third inning from Harpeth spelled disaster for Northwest baseball Thursday on the road. Trey Gasser’s three-run double proved to be too much for the Vikings to come back from in an eventual 9-3 loss.

Hayden Penral went five innings, giving up one unearned run on no hits while recording six strikeouts in the win.

Hunter McHugh was hit with the loss.

Ryan Silverstrim reached base three times while Cole Montjoy drove in a team-high two runs for the Vikings.

Gasser finished 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs for Harpeth.

Northwest (1-11) will head to West Creek Monday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m. for a District 10-AAA meeting.

Well-rounded effort lifts Indians to victory

Solid pitching and 10 total hits propelled Montgomery Central baseball to a 10-3 victory Thursday at Henry County.

Montgomery Central (12-4) gets Henry County again up next at home Friday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. in a District 10-AAA matchup.
