Tyler Woodard, a three-star defensive back from Freedom Prep, has committed to Mississippi State.

"I would like to thank all the college coaches that took the time to recruit me," Woodard wrote Tuesday on Twitter. "This is one of the most important and joyous decisions I have had to make in my life, and with that being said I would like to announce my commitment to Mississippi State University."

The 6-foot-2, 185 pound defensive back is the No. 25 prospect in the state according to the 247Sports Composite. His other offers include Alabama, Arkansas, and Baylor, among others.

Freedom Prep, which is a charter school, did not play football in 2020. Woodard caught six touchdowns and picked off five passes as a freshman in 2018.
