Patriot lifters pick up some big numbers

Football players from Grove and Henry County High schools took part in a liftathon fundraiser on Friday at Gamlin Gymnasium.

The players performed various weightifting and training drills for pledges during the event to help raise money for the freshmen and varsity programs. Some of the top performers in the various events are listed below.

 

BENCH PRESS

Randall Foster — 320 pounds; Lewis Hudson and Caleb VanDyke — 300; Dru Hepner — 290; Will Overton — 265.

 

CLEAN LIFT

Hudson — 315 pounds; Cole Townsend — 285; Thomas Conroy — 285; Foster — 265; Overton — 265; Luke Brown — 255.

 

AGILITY DRILLS

PRO (2-RUN AVERAGE)

Julius Guthrie — 3.87 seconds; Chasden Owens — 3.97; Caden Marshall — 4.03; Hudson — 4.08; Jayce Kendall — 4.08.

 

L-DRILL

Javion Boyd — 7.17 seconds; Hudson — 7.19; Jackson Flood — 7.27; Townsend — 7.38; Zamariyon Kendall — 7.40.
