Knoxville Catholic will announce its new football coach in a press conference this afternoon. Former coach Steve Matthews resigned on April 5 after an arrest on DUI and drug charges.

Catholic went 5-5 in 2020 and missed the Division II-AAA playoffs, which was the first time the Irish had missed the playoffs since 2012. Catholic has won three state championships in its history and two came under Matthews (2015, 2017).
