5 star players from West Tennessee All-Star High School Boys Soccer Match

The inaugural West Tennessee All-Star High School Boys Soccer Match was held on Saturday at Johnnie Hale Stadium with the Red Team beating the Blue Team 4-0.

Crockett County's Carli Branson coached the Red Team, while Gibson County's Mixon Moore coached the Blue Team.

Here are five star players from the all-star match:

1. Jed McWherter (Madison): McWherter, who played the entire match in goal, made multiple saves to secure the shutout for the Red Team. He was named the Overall Most Valuable Player for the match.

2. Corey Piskorski (Dyer County): Piskorski scored two goals for the Red Team and was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player for the match. HIs first goal came in the first 10 minutes, while his second goal was with 11:30 remaining.

3. Javonte Roberson (Milan): Roberson was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player for his play on the backline for the Blue Team.

4. Ikenna Oleru (USJ): Oleru had a goal and an assist for the Red Team. His assist came  with 17:30 remaining in the first half on a goal by Terrence Lurry and he scored with 2:09 to play.

5. Terrence Lurry (Fayette-Ware): Lurry scored the second goal of the match for the Red Team. His goal came with 17:30 remaining in the first half.

Earlier in the day, there was a juggling competition won by Milan's Jimmy Ramirez, a shooting contest won by South Side's Mekhi Uqdah and Westleigh Newsome and a penalty kick competition won by South Side.
