Four-star running back Dallan Hayden commits to Ohio State

Four-star Christian Brothers running back Dallan Hayden has committed to Ohio State, picking the Buckeyes over Tennessee, Notre Dame and Oregon, he announced Tuesday. 

The decision comes on Hayden's 18th birthday. Hayden took official visits to Illinois, Ohio State, and Notre Dame this month. Hayden's Ohio State visit was last weekend. 

"I can't say enough about it," Hayden said. "They're a first class program with first class people in a first-class facility. Their AD was amazing, their facilities are awesome. I had an a amazing trip and it was definitely worth it." 

Hayden is the son of former Tennessee running back Aaron Hayden and younger brother of Illinois running back Chase Hayden. Aaron Hayden played four seasons in the NFL. 

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound tailback is the No. 7 prospect in Tennessee and No. 24 running back in the nation according to the 247Sports composite. 

Hayden rushed for rushed for 2,010 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, en route to winning the Tennessee Titans DII-AAA Mr. Football award and leading Christian Brothers to the DII-AAA semifinals. 

Hayden finished second in the 400-meter dash and helped Christian Brothers win the 4x200 relay at the DII-AA track state championships.
