Goodpasture beat FACS 55-52 a year ago in the DII-A state quarterfinals en route to the program's first state championship.

The Cougars' runner-up finish came without Isaiah West, the top college basketball prospect in Tennessee for the Class of 2023 according to the 247Sports Composite. West missed the second half of the season after he sustained a knee injury in December.

Timothy Thomas had nine points for FACS and Kobe Wilkes added eight points.
