A sacrifice fly in the first inning produced CAK’s first run and the Silverdale Seahawks played catch-up the rest of the game in a 9-5 loss to the Warriors. The Seahawks tied it up in the bottom of the first when Ian Reagan singled scoring Brett Rogers from second.

CAK countered with one in the third and two runs each in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. Silverdale (15-3-1) scored once in the sixth and twice in the bottom of the seventh when Cam Mullins homered on a 3-2 count.

Brody Lamb took the loss for the Seahawks, lasting five and a third innings. Lamb allowed 13 hits and seven runs, while striking out two Warrior batters.

Silverdale tallied nine hits on the day with Mullins’ three for four appearances at the plate leading the way. Turner Junkins and Reagan each collected two hits for the Seahawks.

Silverdale bounced back from a tough loss to CAK earlier in the day with a crushing 10-0 defeat of MTCS.  The Seahawks’ Sebastian Hanks tossed a complete game shutout, giving up only one hit and fanning six while allowing one walk. He threw 45 of his 66 pitches for strikes.

Turner Junkins, Hanks and Brody Lamb all had two hits for Silverdale.
