Carson Prater threw a shutout on Friday for Wayne County Varsity Wildcats, allowing two hits and zero runs. He had seven strike-outs and walked one. Prater was backed by a solid defense and led the Wildcats to a 10-0 victory over Hampshire, leaving them 4-0 in the district. Eli McClain and Drew Bevis each had two RBIs, and Hector Merino, Carson Prater, Jaxson Pope, and Carl Britt each had one RBI.
