Chester County High School Cross Country shows success in Dresden

The Chester County Cross country teams had their first race of the season this past Tuesday. The teams went to Dresden to race. On the girl’s side, the team was led by a strong performance by Julia Briggs who placed 12th, Bella Lamb, who placed 20th, Anna Bolton, who placed 24th, then followed by Eden Burleson and Lilly Allen who all placed within the top 50 out of 97 total runners. The team was able to place third overall out of six teams, missing second place by just four points.
On the boy’s side, the team was led by Stewart Brown, who placed third, Garrett Robison, who placed sixth, Silas McManus, who placed eighth, Dillion Williams who placed 14th and Josh Roberts who placed 22nd, which rounded out our top five all placing in the top 25 out of 113 which allowed them to receive medals. The boy’s team was able to secure a first place finish out of 11 teams. Additionally, Josh Roberts received the Anchor Award for “anchoring” the first place win. The team’s next race will be in Lexington on the 30th.
