Lady Cyclones take conference loss against East

The Elizabethton High School Lady Cyclones fall to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in the conference following a loss to Sullivan East.
The Lady Cyclones volleyball team traveled to Bluff City Tuesday to take on conference foe Sullivan East, losing in four sets 7-25, 25-22, 18-25 and 21-25.
Elizabethton came out flat in the first set losing 7-25 but rebounded in the second set to win 25-22. Sullivan East proved to be too strong taking the last two sets to win 3-1.
Krisalyn Elliott led the Cyclones with nine kills followed by Zoe Proffitt with six; Ainsley Wampler with five; and Gracie Kirsch with four.
The Lady Cyclones’ defense was led by Jayci Bowers with 16 digs and Zyliegh Bates with 14. The Lady Cyclones will resume play Thursday at Elizabethton High School looking to earn their first conference win of the season against Unicoi County.
