CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Rossview girls’ soccer (13-2-1) traveled to Clarksville High (6-10-1) as the rivals competed for the District 13-A Championship on Wednesday.
This was the second meeting between the Lady Hawks and Wildcats during the 2022-23 season. Rossview came away victorious during the first matchup between the two sides, and Wednesday’s contest was no different.
After being down 1-3 during the game, Rossview scored four consecutive points to win 5-3. This was a significant win for the Lady Hawks soccer program, because this was their first district championship victory since 2008.
Nevertheless, Rossview and Clarksville both advance to regional play as they continue their playoff runs. The Lady Hawks’ next game will be a home regional playoff Tuesday, Oct. 18.
As for Clarksville High, their game will take place after fall break as well. Their opponents will be determined at a later date.
