SPRING HILL — Shelbyville Central's Golden Eagles Summit team that was more than ready for the challenge in a 48-0 loss on the road Friday night.
The Spartans scored two touchdowns in every quarter but the fourth and dominated every aspect of the game on the way to the win.
"Give Summit credit, they played a really clean football game and we didn't. They took advantage of mistakes we made and hat's off to them," Shelbyville Central coach Jed Dryden said. "They are well-coached and they have had a lot of success over the past several years.
Spartan running back Dominick Hollis rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns on 13 touches.
The leading statistic for the Golden Eagles was 108 return yards by sophomore William Bobo on six carries.
"This is just one of those games we just want to forget as we get ready for our final regular season game at Cookeville on Friday night. "There is a lot to play for as the winner will be the third seed and the closer the fourth going into the state playoffs.
The Eagles (1-8, 1-3) hit the road for the 7 p.m. kickoff on Friday.
