The Seahawks of Silverdale ended their regular season with a region win over CAK Friday night. Brett Rogers had another big night as the talented multi-sport senior led his team to a 33-20 win over the visiting Warriors.

Rogers ran for four scores and passed for another in amassing 192 passing yards and 136 on the ground. The Seahawks ran up a total of 346 total yards against CAK. Although the Warriors outgained Silverdale by 26 total yards, a stiff Seahawk defense refused to give up more points than their offense could score.

Silverdale would strike twice in the first quarter, once on a Rogers to Cameron Bowen pass for 65 yards and again on a four yard run by Rogers.

In the second quarter CAK would sandwich another Rogers four yard run with a pair of Eli Campbell scoring passes.

The first was for 33 yards and the second for 16.

The Warriors scored again on the third period on a 12 yard pass from Campbell to Will Kelley. However, the Seahawks countered with another Rogers four yard run to paydirt.

The fourth quarter was all Silverdale as Rogers rushed for his fourth TD of the evening on a three yard burst in to the end zone.

The Seahawks were led on defense by Brody Lamb’s 11 solo tackles which included two sacks. Nate Hampton had seven tackles and Timothy Connor had five for Silverdale.

The Seahawks (7-3, 4-2) end their season in third place in the DII-AA East region race behind Knox Webb and Chattanooga Christian. CAK finishes at 2-8, 0-6.
