Seniors Ryan Damron and Morgan Barrick both ran for two touchdowns as the Henry County High School football team rolled past the Portland Panthers 47-0 in the Patriots' regular season final on Friday in Portland.
The win clinches the Region 7-5A championship for Henry County. The Patriots complete the regular season with an 8-2 record while going 5-0 in region competition. Henry County will begin the Class 5A state playoffs next Friday at home by hosting Dyer County.
Henry County started scoring at Portland when junior Javion Boyd blocked a punt and recovered the ball in the end zone for a touchdown. Senior Lake Heffington added a scoring run while sophomore Ashton Kemp intercepted a race and returned for a touchdown.
