The Henry County High School swim team competed in the Rick Cohn Swim Invitational on Saturday in Hopkinsville, Ky.
Henry County’s girls were fourth out of 12 teams, while the boys finished seventh. That put the combined team in fifth place overall. Henry County’s next meet is Dec. 12 at the Paris Civic Center. This will be their only home meet of the season.
Individually, Sara Mathis had fourth-place finishes in both the 200-meter individual medley and 100-meter freestyle races. Audrey Hill was second in the 100-meter backstroke and fifth in the 100-meter freestyle race. Will Wardlaw was second in the 100-meter backstroke while Turner McSwain came in fourth in the 100-meter breaststroke race.
Several HCHS swimmers met regional qualifying times. They are Mathis, Paul Tusa, Charlotte Coulston, Wardlaw, Hill, Kyleigh Miller, Emma Dotson, McSwain and Olivia Hart.
