The Franklin County Rebels lost to the Webb School Feet 72-49 on the road Friday for their second loss of the season.
The Rebels fell behind by double digits early in the contest and were not able to recover as the Feet fully pulled away in the fourth quarter.
The Feet ended the opening period on a 9-0 run to put the Rebels in a decent hole on the scoreboard early.
Franklin County trailed 16-4 after one quarter.
The Rebels responded with nine straight points of their own at the start of the second quarter to make it a three-point game, but the Feet would bring their advantage back up to double digits before the end of the half.
The Rebels trailed 31-19 at halftime.
The deficit was steady throughout the third quarter with the Rebels losing a small amount of ground overall. Ke’Andre Johnson and Kaleb Rigsby scored eight points each in the quarter to provide all of Franklin County’s scoring for the period.
They trailed 49-35 going into the final period.
A 14-0 run by the Feet midway through the fourth quarter would put the game out of reach as the Rebels lost by 23 points.
Johnson and Rigsby led the Rebels with 16 points each for the game, followed by Sam Vincent with 11 points.
Aydin Horton scored four points and Kenyon Fuqua scored two.
With the loss, the Rebels moved to 0-2 on the season.
They will next play Friday against Union City High School at LEAD Academy in a game for the Mike Mitchell Classic. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
