The Lady ‘Landers picked up a big nonconference win on Tuesday afternoon.

Cloudland led most of the first half before Science Hill edged ahead at the half. CHS, however, regained the lead and then held off the Lady Hilltoppers for the win.

Ella Benfield and Isabella Christman had 17 points apiece, while Saharra McKinney had 11 points.

Mountain Mission 54, Unaka 41
The Lady Rangers were unable to complete a rally in the second half.

Unaka saw Mountain Mission led 16-0 after eight minutes of play and 31-7 at the half, but the Lady Rangers quickly cut the deficit to 10 points in the second half.

However, that was as close as Unaka could get.

Lyndie Ramsey had 23 points to lead Unaka.

Elizabethton 73, Cumberland Gap 33
The Lady Cyclones hit the gas in the second quarter and never looked back.

EHS outscored Cumberland Gap 16-7 in the frame to take a 30-18 halftime lead, and Elizabethton cruised the rest of the way.

Renna Lane had 20 points to pace the Lady Cyclones. Lina Lyon tossed in 15 points, while Olivia Holly added 10 points.

Unicoi County 62, Happy Valley 26
The Warriors were unable to battle back from an early deficit in the Hardee’s Classic.

Unicoi led 35-15 at the break.

Dakota Grindstaff had eight points to lead the Warriors.

David Crockett 63, Unaka 33
The Rangers were unable to keep pace with host David Crockett in the opening round of the Hardee’s Classic.

Crockett led 39-12 at the half.

Mason Wilson led Unaka with eight points.
