How Power Five prospects fared in the 2022 TSSAA BlueCross Bowls

Here's a look at how players committed to Power Five programs or hold offers from Power Five teams fared in this year's TSSAA BlueCross Bowls.

Day 3

Gavin Noe, Anderson County: Noe was named the Class 4A Championship MVP rushing for 138 yards and a touchdown in the Mavericks' 34-30 win over Pearl-Cohn.

D'Arious Reed, Pearl-Cohn: Reed led the Firebirds with six receptions for 177 yards and two touchdowns.

Day 2

Tyler Jeffries, Alcoa, Sr.: Jeffries anchored an offensive line that helped the Tornadoes rush for 137 yards in a 45-26 .

Eli Owens, Alcoa, So.: Owens caught three passes for 23 yards.

Lance Williams, Alcoa, Sr.: Williams helped anchor the offensive line and also recorded a tackle and a half.

Marquez Taylor, McKenzie, Sr.: Taylor had 15 carries for 163 yards and a touchdown in a 34-14 win over Clay County for the Class 1A championship. He also had a 47-yard touchdown reception late in the game.

Ronan O'Connell, Page, Jr.: O'Connell made his biggest impact on the defensive side of the ball recording 4.5 tackles and a sack in a 47-13 loss to Knox West in the Class 5A championship.

Day 1

Anthony Boggs, Baylor: Boggs recorded 2.5 total tackles and also forced a fumble in a 38-34 win over MBA for the Division II-AAA championship.

Amari Jefferson, Baylor: Jefferson ran the ball twice for 52 yards and a touchdown to go along with nine receptions for 89 yards and another touchdown.

Whit Muschamp, Baylor: Muschamp was 19-of-29 passing for 252 yards and two touchdowns. He also had eight carries for 52 yards.

Brycen Sanders, Baylor: Sanders anchored a Red Raiders offensive line that helped the Red Raiders rush for 265 yards and three touchdowns.

Ondre Evans, CPA: Evans recorded a tackle and also had a pass breakup that prevented a touchdown in a 42-0 loss to Lipscomb Academy in the Division II-AA championship. He also had a 13-yard kick return.

London Humphreys, CPA: Humphreys was limited to just one catch for two yards. He also had six punts for 232 yards including one for 48 yards.

Crews Law, CPA: Law led the Lions with seven total tackles. He also had three rushes for 22 yards.

Brock Montgomery, Friendship Christian: Montgomery caught seven passes for 111 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-27 win over Nashville Christian for the Division II-A championship.

Garrett Weekly, Friendship Christian: Weekly was the Division II-A championship game MVP going 13-for-16 passing with 166 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 17 carries for 94 yards.

Kaleb Beasley, Lipscomb Academy.: Beasley had a 55-yard punt return, one and a half tackles and 50-yard interception return against CPA.

Hank Brown, Lipscomb Academy: Brown was 23-of-28 passing for 268 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a four-yard carry.

Chauncey Gooden, Lipscomb Academy.: Gooden anchored a Mustangs offensive line that helped them rush for 168 yards and three touchdowns.

Bryan Longwell, Lipscomb Academy: Longwell recorded two and a half tackles.

Junior Sherrill, Lipscomb Academy: Sherrill caught 11 passes for 141 yards and three touchdowns. He also had seven carries for 60 yards and another touchdown.

Brandon Solis, Lipscomb Academy: Solis also helped the Mustangs' offensive line as the team finished with 436 total yards of offensive.

Edwin Spillman, Lipscomb Academy: Spillman led the Mustangs with four and a half tackles and a tackle for loss.

Nathan Spillman, Lipscomb Academy: Spillman caught a pair of passes for 18 yards..

Marcel Reed, MBA: Reed was 16-of-24 passing for 263 yards and five touchdowns against Baylor. He also had eight carries for 67 yards.

Jared Curtis, Nashville Christian: Curtis was 10-of-21 passing for 195 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions against Friendship Christian. He also has 12 carries for 32 yards.
