Monday Round-up: Lady Cyclones Win First Game At Hilton Head

Elizabethton 55, Winter Park (FL) 48
The Lady Cyclones pulled away in the third quarter to take a win in their first game at Hilton Head.

Elizabethton held a 15-8 lead after a quarter of play, but Winter Park trimmed the gap to 23-21 at the half. EHS, however, outscored Winter Park 17-6 in the third and held on to take the win.

Renna Lane had 13 points to lead Elizabethton, while Lina Lyon and Olivia Holly had 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Katie Lee added seven points.

Cherokee 57, Happy Valley 20
The Lady Warriors were unable to keep pace with host Cherokee on Monday.

Marcida Moore scored eight points to lead the way for HV.

Boys
Chuckey-Doak 80, Elizabethton 74
Elizabethton saw a late rally come up short on Monday afternoon.

The Cyclones nearly erased a 15-point deficit after three complete quarters, but the Black Knights were able to hold off the Elizabethton charge.

Mason Ball led the Orange and Black with 21 points, while Andrew Barnett had 15 points. Dalton Mitchell scored 13 points.

Boone (FL) 64, Hampton 49
The Bulldogs came up short in their first game in Orlando.

Hampton saw Boone jump out to a 23-14 lead after the first quarter. HHS continued to battle but was unable to cut into the lead

Cadon Buckles had 17 points to lead Hampton. Michael Anspaugh had seven points, while Levi Lyons and Geno Carrico had six points apiece.

Union County 72, Happy Valley 35
The Warriors came up short on Monday afternoon as Union County was able to pull away for a win.

James Murray led HV with 14 points.

West Ridge 76, Cloudland 32
Cloudland was unable to keep pace with a torrid West Ridge attack Monday.

Ryan Sexton led Cloudland with 15 points.
