Chad Barham goes up to score two of his 16 points.

The CCHS Basketball teams started out 2023 with wins over Jackson Central-Merry in their second matchup against the Cougars.
The results were the same as before with both the Eagles and Eaglettes winning versus the JCM Cougars.
The Lady Cougars did not stand a chance against the Eaglettes.
The Lady Cougars seemed like they were going to close in on the CCHS girls in the third with the score being 45-23 by the end of the quarter, but the Eaglettes refused to let them.
The Eaglettes’ defense went wild and vanquished the Lady Cougars’ offense in the fourth quarter.
Multiple blocks and steals in the quarter led to many points which allowed CCHS’s girls to limit JCM to only three points in the entire fourth quarter while the Eaglettes scored 17.
The final score was 62-26.
The CCHS Eagles won their game versus JCM 62-39.
In the beginning of the game, it was close in the first quarter. The Cougars, after being down 7-0, came back on Chester County’s boys and eventually started winning 10-9. However, at the end of the quarter, with less than a second left, the Eagles were able to take the lead back with a very quick buzzer shot by Hunt Pipkin making the score 11-10.
After that point, the Eagles controlled the game.
